Sales Terms
All goats we sell are either registered, come with an application to be registered, or are registered online and transferred to new owner through the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA). Goats that are registered through ADGA can also be registered with AGS and/or NDGA with the appropriate paperwork at the buyer’s discretion.
All sales are final. We strive to maintain a healthy herd and make sure all animals are healthy before leaving for their new homes. Once an animal leaves our farm we are no longer responsible for anything that may happen to the animal. A health certificate can be acquired at the buyer's expense.
All animals must be picked up at our farm unless prior arrangements have been made. *Be aware I work a full time job Monday thru Friday, therefore weekend pick up is best for my schedule.* Please do NOT bring other animals with you to pick up.
Deposits:
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the purchase price to hold up to 14 days while pick up arrangements are being made. The remaining balance must be paid in cash at time of pick up. If using a transport the animal must be paid for in full before it can leave our farm. It is the buyer's responsibility to stay in touch with Big Dream Acres. If we do not hear from you after your 14 days deposit period is over, we reserve the right to offer said animal for sale again. If deposit is placed on a nursing kid then hold period extends to weaning age or prior discussed pick up date. If a deposit has been put on an animal and the buyer backs out, there is no refund of monies paid in.
Payments:
We accept Venmo, Zelle, Cash app, money order, cashier check, or cash for deposits and the remaining balance in cash at pick up unless other arrangements have been made. NO CHECKS at pick up. Due to security reasons, I am no longer dealing through PayPal.
Herd Health:
All purchased animals are sent with medical records of any vaccinations and/or treatments they have acquired while on our farm along with copies of any recent bloodwork and a small bag of their current diet. I recommend a slow transition of any food change over a 7 days period to help prevent any G.I. issues.
All of our kids receive a CDT vaccination at 6 weeks and 10 weeks as long as they are in our care. Adult does receive a CDT vaccination one month prior to kidding and adult bucks receive a CDT vaccination yearly.
We deworm on an as needed basis depending on results of fecal tests.
We test our entire herd annually for CAE, CL, and Johne's. Recent testing:
September 2016
Entire herd tested Negative for CAE, CL, and Johne's through Sage Laboratories
August 2017
